This sweet, fortified wine is perfect enjoyed on its own or with a tasty chunk of cheese after a meal. Intensely flavoured and rich, Port comes from the beautiful Douro region in Portugal and is made in either bottle-aged or cask-aged styles. If a rich and full-bodied style packed with red and black fruit is your thing then choose a Vintage Port, which is aged in the bottle. For a tipple that is lighter, nuttier, and slightly less sweet choose a cask-aged Port such as Tawny, Ruby and Late Bottle Vintage. As for the sweet white port, this is great on it's own or mixed with tonic, as they do in Portugal, for a refreshing alternative to a G&T.
